CLTC Update Friday 13th, 2020
Posted: November 13, 2020

Tennis Ireland have advised that Sport Ireland Expert Group are due to meet to discuss appointing a non-contact sport representative on the Expert Group and the possibility of an early return to tennis.

This is seen as a positive move for Tennis Ireland and Clubs.
We will keep you posted of any developments or updates from Tennis Ireland.

Online Booking System
When we return to play after the restrictions are lifted, booking courts will be done via the Online Booking System, Club Manager 365.

As per our previous communications, we are going to trial the Online Booking System for a projected 6 months. https://clontarfltc.com/cltc-update-30th-october-2020/   Expecting volunteers/COVID Marshalls to man a mobile phone or check in members on to courts for over 14 hours a day, 7 days a week and members potentially waiting outside for courts is not feasible over the winter months.

CM365 is a very user friendly system to use, but we are in the process of preparing Videos and Tip Sheets to assist members with booking courts whether it is via the Court Booking APP, our Website or via SmartClub.

In the meantime, we would suggest members ensure they have their SmartClub Username and Password ready to enable them to book a court in advance of the Club returning to play.

Upgrade to Court Lighting

New LED lights are being fitted to Courts 5 to 9 over the coming week and so when we return to play, members will no doubt see and experience the benefit of this upgrade.

These works were due to take place in December, but we managed to bring it forward during the Level 5 restrictions on play.
