Important Information About Preparing for Return to Play

We are delighted with the announcement that tennis will resume next Tuesday 1st December.

In advance of returning to play please note the following:

Online Booking System / Club Manager 365 (CM365):

See email to members yesterday regarding the Online Booking System CM365 roll out:  Online Booking System Update and Preparation – update 26.11.2020 – Clontarf Lawn Tennis Club (clontarfltc.com)

Note return to play is Tuesday 1st December as opposed to the previously anticipated Wednesday 2nd December and all courts must be booked online and will be available to book from Monday when you receive the email from the Club advising the Online System is live.

We intend to also move the Gym to the Online Booking System over the next couple of weeks, so an update on that will follow.

Court Floodlights

The Executive Committee has agreed that court lighting will be free (well a 01c nominal charge for 30 minutes!) when we return to play and for a limited time (tba).  Just tap your card at the light meter in the usual way to active the lights.

Courts 5 to 9 have recently been upgraded with LEDs and we hope members will notice the improvement in lighting on those courts and there is no cool down, so instant light!   It may display “cool” on those specific light meters, but there isn’t a cooldown and our supplier will be removing that “cool” from the display next week.

Courts 1,2,3,4,10 & 11 do have the cooldown minutes and therefore members should note this if playing on these courts and tap your Smart Card at the Light Meter in advance of the lights going out if the court is occupied before your game.

Level 3 – Tuesday 1st December 2020

Attached are the latest CLTC Player Guidelines which we would ask members to note : COVID19 Guidelines for Players – Clontarf Lawn Tennis Club (clontarfltc.com)

The specific guidelines regarding Gyms is unclear as yet.   The previous Level 3 didn’t allow group sessions, just walk ins, so we will publish those guidelines on Monday / when we receive clarity.
