The new term of Friday Match play starts Friday September 13th for the BOYS as follows :
2.30pm – 4.00pm Orange Ball
4.00pm – 5.30pm Green Ball
4.00pm – 5.30pm Green Ball
5.30pm – 7.00pm Yellow Ball
GIRLS will commence Friday 20th September as follows :
2.30pm – 4.00pm Orange Ball
4.00pm – 5.30pm Green & Yellow Ball
4.00pm – 5.30pm Green & Yellow Ball
Orange Ball = Born in 2010
Green Ball = Born in 2009
Yellow Ball = Born 2008 and prior
It is now widely recognised by all involved in tennis in this country the importance of children playing competitive tennis and not just taking part in lessons for various reasons :
1 playing matches is a vital part of a child’s tennis development
2 it is a perfect opportunity for them to practice tactics and technique on court
3 for a lot of children it is the only time they get to compete/score the game outside their lesson
